Escalona es el pueblo más grande que conforma el municipio de Puértolas. Es esencialmente important por ser la puerta de entrada al Cañón de Añisclo por una parte y a las Gargantas de Escuaín por otra.

Está situada a la confluencia de los ríos Cinca y Bellós. Es un punto de partida excelente para un gran número de excursiones.

Dentro del municipio de Puértolas, cabe destacar los siguientes pueblos:

  • Escuaín

Escuaín es un hermoso pueblo desde el que se puede hacer una muy bonita excursión por los miradores que lo rodean. Es el punto de partida para conocer las famosas Gargantas de Escuaín y el nacimiento del Río Yaga.

  • Puyarruego

Puyarruego es un pueblo tranquilo y hermoso. Es conocido por las famosas pozas del Río Bellós.

Belsierre, Puértolas y Bestué tienen interesantes muestras de elementos tradicionales. Otros pueblos del municipio como Muró de Bellós están deshabitados y, sólo por ese hecho, merecen una visita.

Escalona is the largest village in the municipality of Puértolas. Its location is of great significance as being at the gateway to the Cañón de Añisclo on one side and the Gargantas de Escuaín on the other.

It is situated at the confluence of the Rivers Cica and Bellós and is an excellent starting point for several excursions and walks.
The following villages within the Puertolas municipality are worth a visit:

  • Escuaín

Escuaín is a pretty village from which you can enjoy a lovely walk along the viewpoints which surround it. It’s the starting point to get to know the iconic Gargantas de Escuaín and the source of the River Yaga.

  • Puyarruego

Puyarruego is a quiet picturesque village. It’s well known for its famous river pools in the Bellós.

Belsierre, Puértolas and Bestué all have fascinating traditional features. Other villages in the municipality like Muró de Bellós are abandoned and,  for this reason alone,are well worth a visit.

Escalona est le plus grand village au sein de la municipalité de Puértolas. Son importance s’explique notamment par sa situation, puisqu’il est la porte d’entrée au Canyon d’Añisclo d’une part,et aux Gorges d’Escuaín d’autre part.
Situé à la confluence des rivières Cinca et Bellós, c’est un excellent point de départ pour un grand nombre d’excursions.
La municipalité de Puértolas compte d’autres villages d’intérêt:

 

  • Escuaín

Escuaín est un magnifique village offrant une très belle promenadele long des miradors qui l’entourent. C’est également le point de départ vers ses célèbres gorges, Gargantas de Escuaín, ainsi que vers la source de la rivière (Río) Yaga.

 

  • Puyarruego

Puyarruego est un village tranquille et très beau, connu pour les célèbres piscines naturelles du Río Bellós

Belsierre, Puértolas et Bestué abritent d’intéressants éléments traditionnels. D’autres villages comme Muró de Bellós sont dépeuplés et méritent une visite, rien que pour cela.
